Don’t forget our array of old Krug Vintage Champagnes many cheaper than retail prices. We cellar all our own wines, giving our customers the benefit of our sound purchases. We host dinners here for the finest wine makers in the world, many of whom have become true friends of The Harrow and in turn offer our customers everything from exclusive visits to their wineries & vineyards to special release back vintages. Roger also now sits on the Decanter World Wine Awards as a Judge on Australian Wines, together with sitting on Australian Tasting Panels for Decanter. We try and keep our website wine listing as up to date as possible, although it is always best to contact us in advance if you require a specific vintage of a wine.
Getting the best from our Award Wining Wine List Together with Riedel and Le Verre de Vin preservation system we offer exceptional and rare wines by the glass. We were the first to offer Penfolds Grange and Vintage Krug by the glass, and will continue to offer further exceptional and rare wines throughout the year for your enjoyment. Australia Rules! This list is rated by Paul Henry of the Australian Wine Corporation as the finest listing of Australian wines outside Oz. Many of these wines have aged gracefully in our cellars for the last 11 years and now offer prime drinking. Australian wines continue to dominate quality throughout the world, over 2,000 wine producers many of whom are small independent wineries producing exceptional quality and finesse.
It is fine buying a bottle of New World wine off the shelf in a Supermarket but remember many of the finer wines need many years of cellaring to fully appreciate their quality. Here at The Harrow we have matured hundreds of Australian wines for your enjoyment. Regional Heroes Regional Heroes highlights the premium quality producers of the finest wine areas of Australia, a bit like Grand Cru or Premier Cru in France. We are delighted to be working very closely with these ‘Guys’ to bring you the very latest and best that they are making.
Landmark Australia Like First Growth from France, Landmark Australia Wines are the icon wines of Oz, without question World Class, wines such as Penfolds Grange, Moss Wood Cabernet, Leeuwin Chardonnay, Grosset Riesling, Cullen etc.
ABC Chardonnay Absolutely Brilliant Chardonnay, the days of big overoaked Chardonnay’s from Oz, like the big pay cheques in the City have gone. Wines such as Giant Steps, Shaw & Smith, Leeuwin, Pierro, Kooyong, and Tamar Ridge are producing wines that are equal to the finest from Burgundy.
Not content with having the finest listing of Australian Wines, we have expanded our New Zealand List to match the finest you will find outside New Zealand. We have also started to collect back vintages of NZ’s most famous 4 wineries, Craggy Range, Cloudy Bay, Felton Road and Dog Point.
Riedel Glassware Numerous consumer and trade tests have been carried out to prove that Riedel makes a huge difference in the enjoyment of wine. We offer up to 14 different glass styles here at The Harrow each to compliment various grape varieties.
Le Verre de Vin Preservation System With still wine the machine pumps out the air and with champagne it replaces the vacuum with CO2. Simple but it works giving the wines a 3 week life line. We however go through the wines rather quicker than this!
