The Harrow moves to London for 2 Days
This year, Fortnum & Mason hosts its very own culinary carnival, where customers will be given the opportunity to taste dishes from a whole host of Michelin-starred chefs over a fabulous fortnight of feasting in the Gallery Restaurant. Never before has this galaxy of Michelin stars taken part in such an event; each will produce their signature dishes, with the focus being on regional produce. Roger & Sue Jones OF The Harrow at Little Bedwyn will take over The Gallery Restaurant on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th October, and will be catering for nearly 500 people over 2 days

Decanter Magazine and Wine Australia attend our Australian Wine Experience on Tuesday 9th August
Yvonne May, Director of Wine Australia Europe, together with Christelle Guilbert of Decanter Magazine will be opening our Epic Australian Tasting on Tuesday 9th August, besides dozens of 5 Star Rated Decanter Riesling and Chardonnay wines from Australia there will also be a chance to try some epic wines from the 1990’s such as Penfolds Grange 1990, Moss Wood 1996 and Jasper Hill Riesling 1998. Roger is a Judge for The Decanter Wine World Awards and sits on Australian Panel Tastings for Decanter Magazine. Sorry Sold Out.

Chefs Night Out brings together Wales’s finest chefs to cook for more than 150 guests at Cardiff’s Holland House. Each chef creates a four-course menu per table, but it’s only at the evening’s reception draw you discover who’ll be cooking your dinner.
With menus styled exclusively for the night, food made from local produce, premium wines to accompany each course, plus the chance to bid for a chef to cook in your own home, this is a very special and original dining experience.
SEVENTEEN chefs including Roger Jones from The Harrow at Little Bedwyn, with a combination of nine Michelin stars will be cooking up a delicious night to help a children’s hospice on Saturday 3rd September. Last year the first Chefs’ Night Out event saw 15 of the best chefs in the country cook for charity, raising £100,000.
Jonny Boy gets engaged
August 7th, John Brown, our Head Chef, got engaged to Rebecca Liddiard with a big glittering party in the Harrow’s garden. Their big day will be next June.
Team Harrow win The Cardigan Bay Seafood Challenge
On Sunday July 10th The Harrow team went down to Aberaeron in West Wales and managed to cook over 400 meals to win the Challenge, their nearest competitor Stephen Terry from The Hardwick managed just under 300 meals.

On Tuesday 9th August over 60 Australian Wine Enthusiasts turned up at The Harrow at Little Bedwyn to decide on their favourite Australian Riesling and Chardonnay. Over 50 wines were entered, all being either 4 or 5 Star rated in Decanter Magazine and all current releases.
Over 30 of The Harrow’s customers were joined by the crème de la crème of the Australian Wine Industry and the UK Press, including Yvonne May (Wine Australia), Christelle Guilbert and Tina Gilles (Decanter), Pierre Monsour (The Wine Society), Tim Wildman MW, Justin Knock MW and Mark Davenport (Penfolds).
Guests were also treated to a blind tasting of Australian wines from the 1990’s , including Moss Wood and Mount Mary Chardonnay 1996, Katnook Brut Sparkling Chardonnay 1995, Plantaganet & Jasper Hill Riesling 1998. Reds included E&E Black Pepper Shiraz 1996, Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 1996, and the highlight Penfolds St Henri and Penfolds Grange 1990.
What was evident from the Riesling and Chardonnay Challenge was the sheer quality and enjoyment that all the guests were getting from all the wines, it was a celebration of fantastic premium quality wines that Australia has showcased for so long.
Both winners receive a Limited Edition Signed Mamba Riedel Decanter. The Mamba decanter, designed by Maximilian Riedel in 2011, is free blown by a master glass blower in Austria and is a unique and functional work of art.
